Yesterday, I was procrastinating as usual and stumbled upon a new store in McLean called
The Preppy Pink Pony (oddly situated next to the 7-11 on Chain Bridge Road). Lets face it- I am most certain that I love everything prepster more than any other boat shoe/ribbon belt/cardigan wearing/headband clad girl from Northern Virginia. But be warned- this look has the potential to be completely abused when the spirit of "prep" is transferred into your home. Well, this store has got it all right. From monogrammed linen cocktail napkins to lucite cocktail trays to sterling silver mint julep glasses, this store has something for everyone. This haven is more than a gift shop- you can have just about anything personalized (from bathrobes to monogrammed furniture), and I bet that the delightful owner will track down whatever it is that your heart desires that her store may not stock. This shop is a MUST for anyone trolling around McLean.
