Lively Linens

Think about it. How much time do you think you spend with your sheets, towels, blankets, bathrobes, pillows, and all of the things that are meant to keep you warm, cozy and clean? If you're lucky, you're able to enjoy eight or more hours in a cocoon of sheets and blankets before your alarm clock forces you to prepare for a new day. Eventually your snooze button stops cooperating and you dash to the bathroom where bath towels are a simple necessity for your morning routine. At the end of a long day, you are back in your bathroom getting ready to climb back into your cocoon. You are constantly in contact with your linens. They are a simple necessity. But why not upgrade them to a luxury? Why not LOVE those linens that you spend so much time using, washing, folding...?

I challenge you to toss those thin, stained, old, and just plain ugly sheets and towels. How about upgrading your linens to some that are personalized (monograms, anyone?) and luxurious. I promise you that each day will be a bit more comfortable, enjoyable, and special. Ordering lovely linens is easy. Pick up the phone, get online. So take the plunge. You deserve it!

Here are some of my favorite companies that specialize in reminding you that you are special by making you feel special. Because you ARE!

Leontine Linens
Leontine Linens is a true master of their craft. Their cotton is fluffy, thick and simply irresistible. You have probably never experienced towels, sheets, robes, or any linen that is so beautiful and sensationally spectacular. Their monogram selection is endless and their applique monograms are glorious. Their prices reflect their superior quality and you're sure to enjoy their customer service.

Matouk ~ Lulu DK for Matouk
Matouk is probably the most popular and widely available luxury linen company that specializes in custom orders. They offer a wide selection of bed linens, bath towels, and accessories including fluffy robes and one of a kind customized pillows. Their bold, rich color selections set Matouk apart from their competitors. Their applique monograms are some of the most beautiful that I have seen. Their sister brand, Lulu DK, offers funky, younger styles that are fun compliments to their more traditional Matouk line. Matouk is generally less expensive than Leontine Linens depending on your monogram and style selections.

Mark & Graham
I recently discovered Mark & Graham while reading last month's Southern Living Magazine, which featured their monogrammed grosgrain cocktail napkins (see below) which I mention in my last blog entry. This online store is one of my favorite recent discoveries! Their selection is extensive and their price point is incredibly affordable for such high quality, personalized and beautiful items. Mark & Graham is my new go-to for wedding and birthday gifts (and, of course, treats for myself!)

Tally-Ho Designs
I have loved my Tally-Ho Designs accessories for as long as I can remember. Their fun, functional and preppy cosmetic bags, jewelry pouches, lingerie envelopes and anything a girl could ever want are offered in hundreds of fabrics and can be appliqued with unlimited monogram styles. These make the perfect gift for a friend or yourself! Order in advance because each bag is handmade and takes several weeks to arrive. Be warned! You can't order just one!

Sferra Linens
Beautiful linens that can be monogrammed from a wide selection of styles. Sferra is a more affordable option than Leontine or Matouk. Check their website frequently for amazing discounts and online sales!
